What Are Crowns?

Crowns are a sturdy artificial replacement for the part of your teeth that shows above the gumline. This is why they’re also called “caps.” Even if the roots underneath are relatively healthy, the bite surface of a tooth may need to be repaired or replaced. Before we fit your crown, we’ll initially remove decay and shape the tooth. Next, we’ll cement the crown into place and ensure it blends seamlessly with surrounding teeth as well as your bite. Constructed from strong materials, crowns look like real teeth and can provide many years of reliable function. In addition to same-day results, CEREC crowns provide invaluable benefits, including:

  • Repairing damaged or weakened teeth
  • Fortifying teeth following a root canal
  • Restoring worn or warped teeth
  • Enhancing a smile makeover
  • Completing a dental implant procedure

What are Bridges?

All of your teeth play an important role in speaking, chewing and in maintaining proper alignment of other teeth. Bridges are rows of connected crowns that span or “bridge” the gap left when your teeth have fallen out or been extracted. They’re connected to the healthy teeth at both ends of the gap or dental implants. With bridges, you’ll be able to regain chewing power and never again have to eat on one side of your mouth. Bridges offer considerable benefits, including:

  • Restoring multiple lost teeth
  • Stabilizing adjacent teeth
  • Safeguarding your full smile
  • Giving you a strong, aligned bite
  • Adding to a smile makeover
